How this tool works

  1. Name both team owners and an end-to-end process owner. Describe the trigger, expected output and authoritative system.
  2. Make acceptance rules observable. Specify required information, quality checks and the return route for incomplete work.
  3. Agree response-time clock rules, exceptions, escalation and a review date. Pilot the agreement with both teams before adopting it.

A worked example

The fictional sales-to-delivery example requires a signed scope, client contacts and delivery dependencies before the receiving coordinator records acceptance.

Questions before you use it

Is the generated agreement ready to adopt?

It is a working draft. Both teams and the accountable process owner should confirm its rules and test it on real handoffs.

What if exceptions are common?

Record the recurring exception types, decision owner and escalation route. Frequent exceptions can indicate that the standard needs redesign.
